Game for Life (GFL) Community of Practice (CoP) Workshop
On 28th July, SEARADO with the support of Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) of Singapore and in collaboration with Coach SG organised a workshop on values-based activities as part of the Game for Life (GFL) Community of Practice (CoP) for coaches and sports educators in Character and Leadership Development through Sports (CLDS) in Singapore. The GFL Framework provides sports educators with a structured approach in CLDS. Till date, schools’ PE teachers and coaches have adopted the framework into sports lessons and programmes for values inculcation.
The workshop provided participants, the activities and tools that the presenters from Sport Integrity Australia, Japan Anti-Doping Agency and Drug Free Sport NZ used in promoting sports values and developing practical lifeskills like decision making and clean sport.
Participants had a great time involving in the practical sessions. SEARADO would like to thank all presenters from SIA, JADA and DFSNZ, as well as, the participants. We would also like to encourage all participants to carry out and promote these activities.
